Hey y’all! Did you enjoy the weather? It was difficult going to work last week; the rain was not on my side this time.

Today is all about illustration, I know this design is common, but it’s different in a way, because I used floral print chiffon.

Grab your pattern paper, scissors, ruler, triangular ruler, pencil or pen, and measuring tape

You have to start with a basic block dress pattern. I have a tutorial on that and a free downloadable pattern too.
Step 1

step by step sewing tutorial on sweetheart neckline
Created a basic dress block pattern with a waist dart
Step 2

how to cut a sweetheart neckline
Cut out the skirt part, we only need to tweak the bodice part. Make sure you add joining allowance on your fabric or pattern before you cut.
Step 3

Connect the points with a French curve or harness your drawing skills.
Step 5

Create a V-CURVE depending on how low or how revealing you want your chest. Mine was a bit low. Connect the V-Curve to the armhole line.

Cut it out.

BACK
Step 7

bustier sewing pattern
Nothing special about the back, it’s just a basic dress pattern with zipper.
Just draft a back dress pattern and add 1 inch zip allowance to it. Do the same curve at the back without a dart allowance.
SLEEVE
Draft your basic sleeve pattern and cut off the top part. I advise you first sew before you cut out the remaining one.
