I’m still perfecting my peplum and bustier making. I didn’t really like peplum until I discovered that it can actually conceal a bloated tummy. I will be making more for myself.

We will start with the first pieces.
First step : pin the front pieces together, following the curves carefully while you pin. Sew slowly so that you can get the curves.
Step two : sew the dart of the back pieces
Attach the two back pieces to the front sides and sew.
Step three : attach the peplum to the top, pin first before sewing. ( try the top on for fitting before moving on to the next step)
Step four : Hem the bottom of the top
Step five : attach the zipper to the back of the top. ( install your zipper which ever method you prefer). I want my zipper teeth to show.
I went a little bit extra by putting that detail mini cape on it.
Next step is to measure the entire width of the top. Measure the width on your left over fabric and your desired length.
Mine was 40 inches width, I added 2 inches to make it 42 inches. I used a 4 inches length. Cut in fold so that you don’t have to hem it.
These pieces is just an interface for the top, but we will do a turn up interface instead.
Turn the top back and pin the interface, while pinning the interface, leave little space open for the armhole. It’s optional, you can make it full bustier or off- shoulder, whichever you prefer.
Trim the excess and turn it to the front and iron press.
